Size: Not sure but growing. Her next appointment is next week. I'm thinking she's hit the 10 lb mark. We'll see. I held up a newborn outfit up to her today, and it was a few inches short...Can't believe it!
New things: Smiling (and not just for gas!)...it's fun!!
I discovered she likes whistling!
Holding her head up for a few minutes at a time. She's doing awesome with this!
We've been practicing rolling over and sitting up (on the couch propped up of course). After rolling over, she can get her arm out from under her to prop herself up again.
We're also working on gripping her toys and shaking them. She's done it a few times.
Fun things: She got to meet her great grandma and her Uncle Nathan and Aunt Payge for the 1st time this week. So special!
Ruthie also got to meet Grandma Lewton's whole side of the family...in almost one day! And quite a few of her family on Grandpa Lewton's side! Again, so special!
She got to see her Grandma Cully bowl. The team wasn't doing so hot until Ruthie showed up, and then they all started playing better:).
Ruthie got to be introduced at church in Marion. Funny...the attention doesn't seem to get to her:).
We had family pictures over the weekend as well! Ruthie did super well!Ruthie loves: Grandpa Cully's train (complete with an windmill). She likes to watch it during her play time.
Her new books that she got for Christmas!
Lights...Christmas lights, lamp lights, flashlights, the TV, the sun through the window.
Being put down for a changing/getting dressed....it's super cute. Sleep: A few nights it's been hard to get Ruthie to go to sleep. We've been trying to keep her on her schedule, but we are going out more, meeting more people, etc., but despite all of it, she really is doing well! She is still only getting up twice. The night after she met all of Grandma Lewton's side of the family she slept the entire night...poor thing. She was WORN out! I woke up in the middle of the night thinking..."I feel like I've been sleeping longer than I should", so I got up to check on her, and she was aok. She didn't wake up until 7:30 a.m.! We should have big get togethers more often! Haha!
Mom and Dad: Love it when after nursing Ruthie wants to just chill and chat. She seems to have all sorts of things to say at that point. I LOVE it! I can't wait to hear her first giggle!!
I love to watch her sleep...all curled up with such precious expressions on her face!
Tom is getting good experience with the vet he is riding around with. He has been home in the evenings which has been super nice!
Thank you, Lord, for: This Christmas season and having a little one to share it with!
