WEEK 13
Happy 2nd trimester! Apparently, it starts at week 13.
Tater tot casserole hit the spot this week...
Chips with melted cheese and tortillas with pb, honey, and cinnamon are not sounding good any longer.
I like having a carb snack readily available. It’s what helps to keep my
stomach at bay…although, not plain crackers or tortilla chips at the current
moment. I made ranch pretzels as I had had them at a party, and they hit spot!
PS not that cereal isn’t sounding good…just haven’t been
eating it this week.
Eating out is not sounding that appealing any longer...yay!
It was either the beginning of this week or the end of last
that Tom made a comment about how I’ve definitely got a belly now…:) I'll take that as a compliment:).
I’ve been enjoying the following smoothie this week: orange
juice, banana, frozen blueberries, and sometimes water. YUM! Perfect on a hot
day!
Lots of gagging this week.
After mentioning tortellini to our neighbor in a
conversation this week, I bought and made some this week with sauce and stuffed
bread sticks! It lasted for 3 meals and was great!
Curly fries are also sounding good this weekJ. When I made them, though, they weren’t as
magical as I thought they would be. I only ate like 2, and the rest went into
Tom’s lunchJ.
I can't wait to get back to "normal" eating! At least I'm finding things that sound good enough to fill me up!
WEEK 14
Definitely improving. I am eating more veggies…and want
them. I even ate trail mix (cashews, raisin, and sunflower seeds) this
week…haven’t eaten those in a while. It was good! I’m grateful!
That nasty taste in my mouth though has seemed stronger this
week…it’s like I’m thirsty, but I don’t want water…especially in the morning.
Some of my "normal" shorts are getting a bit snug/uncomfortable at times. I got out the maternity clothes this week. No reason to squeeze if I don't have to:).
I still can eat a ton without feeling full.
Cheese and milk are still great!
I’ve been wanting pepperoni it seems too!
I have noticed my belly has gotten bigger this week…I know that's what it is supposed to do, of course, but I just noticed it more this
week, I guess.
I think I have felt the baby wiggle around…not for sure…no
kicks, of course, but just movement…swimming around in there…kind of fun.
WEEK 15
It’s getting uncomfortable to do the exercises that require
me to be on my stomach…whether on the floor or on the ball.
I'm not having to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night as much.
I am feeling so much better…eating better, the taste in my
mouth isn’t there as much.
I still gag when brushing my teeth.
I’m not as able to go as full throttle in workouts…I’ve
noticed my body just can’t be pushed as hard any more. That's ok! Just gonna keep moving and working as best as I can.
This goes back to earlier in pregnancy…but when I was feeling nauseous, even the way I
put my chin on my pillow and held the sheets up could make me feel sick!
