10 weeks old!!

Size: Probably more than 11 lb. 7 oz. :) Her thunder thighs are getting bigger, too!
New things: Almost laughing...I found her "sweet spot" (so to speak), and I can get a little laugh out of her when I tickle her. It's so cute!!

She making a new noise when talking (kind of like the sound one makes when rolling the double "r" in Spanish). She likes it when we make that sound as well!
She's been trying to put her toys in her mouth. I've given her some of her frozen teething toys to put in her mouth. She doesn't seem to mind the cold.
We've been introducing lots of textures...I guess that's what they're interested in at this age?! :)
Fun things: Ruthie got to meet her Uncle Ben and older cousin Ben this week for the first time. She also got to see her Grandpa Cully again! They came to visit for a day. Ben and Ruthie had fun playing together. She really likes her big cousin!
Ruthie got to play with a 7-month-old this week. Ruthie was quite fascinated with looking at her and listening to her. It was funny as she rather perked up when the company came over...maybe she'll be a social butterfly:).
I've been trying to dress Ruthie in more outfits rather than just her jammies. It's kind of fun!
She's still doing lots of kicking...so cute!
Ruthie loves: Being carried in the Ergo carrier on mommy's back (also a new thing).
Blowing bubbles and drooling:).

Listening to worship music.
Her books with pictures of real animals.
One of her cow toys that I named Miguel...(the tag had an English side and a Spanish side, so I named him Miguel which I guess makes him a bull not a cow:)). I have it hooked up near her changing table, and his tummy crinkles. She likes it!
Sleep: Ruthie has had some really good nights in the last week. She isn't wanting to stay up as late and, therefore, is going down for bedtime sooner. Last night she only woke up once!! Yay, Ruthie!
New Year's Eve, though, Ruthie wanted to stay up until midnight with us...she must have known it was appropriate to do so on such a night! Mom and Dad: We had so much fun sharing her with family again this week. Tom had to start back to clinics this week. I think Ruthie knows something is different. When he came home today, she loved just being in his arms for the evening. She stayed awake longer than she normally does around that time. I think she missed him! We had people over for dinner for the first time in quite awhile. It felt nice to entertain again and to be into the groove well enough to do so!
Thank you, Lord, for: That Ruthie has been doing so well with her sleep this week! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for time with our family this week as well!
