Week 13
Size: I weighed myself the other day and then weighed myself with Ruthie. According to that scale, she weighs about 13. 4 lb. Definitely growing out of some 0-3 months clothing. She looks more chubby when she wears some 0-3 items because they are now tighter:).
New things: Making squealing noises when we take her close to the main light fixture in our apartment.
The nursery at church (first time today!); she just has too much to say during the service, so we thought we'd try. She did great!
Mommy gave Ruthie a bath for the first time this week (not Ruthie's first bath, but Mommy's first time giving her one:)....just to clarify).
We started wearing some 3-6 month clothing this week!!
Fun things: We had lots of guests and outings last week! Ruthie did a great job being out and about.
We walked around the mall this weekend. We stopped into Best Buy, and Ruthie quite enjoyed the wall of TV's:). It's like free babysitting in there...so much to look at!!
Ruthie got to Skype with her Grandpa and Grandma Lewton and Aunt Maddy.
Ruthie loves: My rings!! I've caught her looking at and trying to get them multiple times this week.
Her walker; I got it out this week. She loves being able to play with her toys on its tray. She also loves being upright in it. She enjoys being pushed across the floor in it...despite the work it is for mom and dad.
Her plastic giraffe toy. She loves eating the ears.
Her musical crab and dangling starfish. She tries so hard to get her hands on the starfish to put in her mouth and gets a little frustrated when she can't. It's cute!

Sleep: Naps are going well! She is doing a good job at napping out and about as well! Nights were a little more difficult this week....getting to sleep that is. That's ok; we'll see what this week brings.
Mom and Dad: Tom had a great time riding around with a vet this week, and I enjoyed catching up with some friends! I've also been enjoying working on a couple of Shutterfly projects:).

Week 12
Size: She may be starting to outgrow some of her 0-3 stuff now...I can't tell if she is or if it's just because cloth diapers take up more space:). Time will soon tell!
New things: Making a growling noise.
Not needing her pacifier to put herself to sleep!
Playing while feeding...it's rather cute.
She's got a tooth coming in!! That explains the drool and the hands in the mouth.
Sticking her bottom lip out...this is kind of cute, too!
Fun things: We got another giggle out of Ruthie (Tom heard it this time, too, to verify:)).
Ruthie got to have a "play date" with one of her new friends this week. Play date meaning they were in the same room together:).
We also had some friends over for lunch!
Daddy was home early many days this week, so Ruthie got lots of playtime with him.
Ruthie also got to Skype her aunt and uncle this weekend!! (we participated, too, of course)
Ruthie loves: Her leaves (a random part of her bouncy seat that she really enjoys). There's three of them on a ring.
Chatting. We have some very interesting conversations:).

Sleep: Still doing grrrrrrrrrrrreat! She's consistently putting herself to sleep for nap time without the pacifier and aside from a few nights this week, has gone down for bed super well. She did sleep for over 9.5 hours one day this week, but I think that was maybe due to teething as she hasn't done it since. She has also been able to put herself to sleep in the car (she was able to do this when she was younger and hasn't in that last couple of months).
Mom and Dad: Ruthie and I went in with Tom to school a couple times this week in the evening to do his "treatments" with him. He had to give medicine to a sheep and feed a calf. Ruthie enjoyed the little outings and seeing the animals.
Since Tom was home so much this week, I got to go on a couple of outings alone.
Thank you, Lord, for: All the sleep progress she is making! Such a blessing!
