32 week pictures and maternity pictures!!

A dear friend of ours from church took these for us...she did such a grrreat job!!

Cute...right?

Don't worry...I washed the boots already!!
I just love the cow in this picture!!

32 weeks!!

Stroller in the car!!
Not sure why this one is rotated weird..but we got some more cloth diaper "things" this week from a friend. Here's the start of our collection!!

32 weeks (less than 2 months to go!)

How's momma feeling: Still chucking along! We had another appointment this week. We got to hear baby's heart beat (around 140), and I was measuring 31 cm, so we're doing good! It's been busy at work - long days, but that means more time saved up for Dr. appts., a few days off before baby, or more time after baby:). I've gotten back into the routine of cooking on the weekends recently, so it's nice to only warm up things once we get home and not have to cook a whole meal. It helps a lot! I also can't be on my feet for hours on end without taking a break to sit. A couple hours only at a time; otherwise, my feet and back start to ache a bit.
Size of baby: About 3.75-4 lbs. and 16-19 inches long. She's about the size of a jicama (no clue what this thing is) or a small watermelon (now this I understand). She now has hair (or peach fuzz) and might be practicing opening and closer her eyes, swallowing, sucking, and breathing!
Cravings: Whole milk. I've been buying 1%, but I broke down last week and bought one 1% and one 2% (we go through a lot of milk). We opened the 1% first, and I was just waiting all week to get my hands on the 2%. Also, the week before, stuffing was sounding good...weird, right? I made some, and it was yummy!!
Aversions: Nothing this week.
Sleep: Better this week! If I sleep diagonal in the bed, I seem to sleep better, and when I use my full body pillow all the way down to my feet, that seems to help a bit too. Potty breaks are still off and on, but if I do have to get up to go, it's only once. I had a few leg cramps during the night this week; following, I've just made sure that I get plenty of calcium and haven't had them when I do (maybe why I'm craving milk?!?!:)).

Clothes: Still no luck on the comfy shoes. I put on a dress this week that I haven't worn in quite a few weeks/months, and I couldn't pull it off (not maternity but just a flowing dress). Guess I'll have to store that one away for a while:). This week, I also enjoyed a pair of new yoga pants my mom brought for me when they visited. COMFY!!

Exercise: No Zumba this week:(. Our students come back soon, so the fitness class schedule is changing. I hope to still be able to go to a class or two this fall...maybe even something different than Zumba. Still had some nice workouts at the gym though.
Looking forward to: A couple weekends with no plans!!
Something fun: Another fun week!

Saturday...maternity pictures (so much fun!), parenting/mentoring class, and a wedding reception. Sunday...we got to meet up with our Honduras team for dinner!! It was so nice to see all of them and to catch up on everyone's summers/lives. I miss them!!
We started a new birthing class this week. We had a make-up class on Monday night and the real class on Thursday night (that's a lot of birthing "stuff" in one week:)). Our instructor is super sweet, and we appreciate what we are taking away from it. The class definitely has an "Ithaca" flair to it, but it's good for us, and we've gotten to meet some community people too! I also got to catch up with one of my friends from the vet school this week. We met up at Starbucks and had a nice time together. It was great to see her (now that Tom is in rotations, it's harder to see our vet friends on a consistent basis because everyone's schedules are so different). It was nice that we got to see so many this week!
FYI: Did anyone notice that I think I've been putting inches rather than cm for my measurements?!? Oops! Ha! Ha! When I stop to think of it, it makes complete sense...not sure why I didn't realize that before.

The stroller is in the back of the car now! It looks so cute back there:).
Thank you, Lord, for: A supportive husband. He is so good to me and is going to be such a wonderful dad. He drops me off and picks me up from work. He runs errands, helps with dinner/lunches/laundry, rubs my back, and is going to all the appointments/classes/sessions that he is able to go to. Isn't he just wonderful?

Pictures from 31 weeks...Part 2 (for some reason, I wasn't able to load them all at the same time)

Full freezer...THANK YOU, Mom!!

My new favorite shirt (it was a bit chilly this week)

30 weeks and 6 days

31 weeks

She's getting bigger!

Pictures from week 31...Part 1

Watkins Glen State Park

This is Baby Cully's waterfall:)

The last ones were the hardest...just when you thought you were to the end, you'd turn the corner, and there were more!

Chillin' last Sunday afternoon

We made lasagna, chicken pot pie (pictured), chili, white chicken chili, cinnamon rolls, blueberry zucchini bread, chicken enchilada casserole, BBQ chicken, and I think something else that I can't remember.

31 weeks!! Single digits to go!!

How's momma feeling: Still feeling great! I have enough energy at work, for the gym, and then for home (dinner and maybe a couple quick tasks), but once I sit down for dinner, that's when I don't want to do anything else. Once I stop, I usually want to stop for good. I feel like this week or maybe even last week I really started to look "big" pregnant. Not sure what that means, but I'm definitely looking like I'm pregnant now...it's kind of fun, but then I also wonder "how big am I going to get?" I also still have my balance and no "puffiness" yet - GRATEFUL for this!
Size of baby: Baby Girl Cully is around 16-18 inches long and about 3 1/3 pounds (about the size of a coconut or pineapple)! Her five senses are developed, and she can move her head from side to side.

Cravings: None this week, but I was really looking forward to the chip dip I made for a birthday this week:). It was yummy!
Aversions: Nothing this week.
Sleep: I had a couple good nights of sleep and a couple that weren't so great. None that were awful. I just seem to want to sleep on my back these days so fighting that during the night can sometimes keep me "up". I did wake up the other night and smelled the ribs that I had cooking in the crock pot  Once that smell got to me, I became extremely hungry. I decided to get up and have some cereal at 4:20 in the morning. It was a nice treat and pretty funny.

Clothes: I went to a store I've known about for awhile a few weeks ago, "Mama Goose". Why did I not check out this place before?? It's awesome! They have used maternity and baby/kid stuff. I got a few new "3rd trimester" shirts as more of my shirts just aren't fitting quite as they should over my expanding belly. I also pulled out a few more items that my "cuz" gave to me (thank you!) and fell in love with one of them. I wore it 3 times this week...haha! I'm also in search of a comfy pair of shoes that I can wear at work and outside of work. I think I went to almost every store in Ithaca a few weeks ago and didn't find anything. I guess I'll have to try some places outside of Ithaca. Exercise: Tom and I got to play tennis once this week; we've been wanting to do that for awhile. We aren't exactly what you would call pros, but we had fun. We made it all the way from A-Z and then through D again hitting it back and forth without stopping...like 5 minutes before we had to stop...haha! It was a nice way to be active! I've also been enjoying reading the book "Sacred Parenting" while doing the stair step machine at the gym. I love that book!
Looking forward to: Hopefully, starting another birthing class this week!
Something fun:We had a fun week! I got to go on a birthday date with one of my friends (her birthday). She is pregnant, too, so we had fun chatting about that! On Thursday night, we had a surprise birthday to attend for one of our other friends followed by ice cream with some of our friends that live out of town but were in town for a wedding this weekend. It was a nice evening of friends! On Friday, we got together with some of our vet school friends who have a 2.5 month old for a cookout and a game of Settlers of Catan (I love that game). Again, we had a lovely time!

FYI: Sorry for another late post. Work is a bit busy right now. Our students come back in a week and half. I was hoping to be able to take a break to post on Friday but wasn't.
Last Friday night, we got to try out one of the restaurants that we've been wanting to try for a LOOOONG time. I believe it is called Stella's Barn (sounds like a place we would like, huh?) Mom, Nate, Tom, and I all enjoyed it. We also enjoyed some ice cream afterward from our favorite local ice cream shop!
On Saturday, Mom, Nate, and I went to a place called The Windmill which is like a large Amish and local vendor farmer's market. It's just fun to walk around and look at everything. Then we went to Watkins Glen State Park. This place has around 19 waterfalls and about 800 steps to climb. We climbed all 800 and took lots of pictures! It was a perfect day to be outside!
Sunday, we finished cooking and baking, so now the freezer is quite full. It's awesome!
Mom and Nate left Monday morning. It was a great weekend!! Thank you, Lord, for: Lots of kicks and punches and movements. I don't really feel like I have to "count kicks" because our little girl moves around quite frequently (thankfully, this doesn't keep me up at night). I'm so grateful I know she's in there and ok. I'm also thankful that my mom and brother got to feel her move, too! She wasn't as active because I was more active that weekend, but they did get to feel or see her a couple of times!! So special!

Pictures from 30 weeks...Almost down to the single digits "left to go"!

One of my college roommates in Ithaca! So good to see her!!

My project at the Corning Museum of Glass

30 weeks!! Only "10" to go!

Field Trip Outfit:)

Part of the work we did last weekend...

Our apartment back to normal!!

30 weeks...sorry I'm late...

How's momma feeling: I had a great week! This cool weather is AMAZING! A couple people were talking about how we haven't had summer weather, and I told them they aren't pregnant:). I'm finding that being on my feet for long periods of time puts stress on my lower back, so I just have to sit periodically and be smart not to push myself. I'm grateful for a job where I'm up and down all day, so it's a good balance!!
Size of baby: Baby Girl Cully weighs about 3 pounds and is around 15.5 inches long!! She still doesn't feel heavy yet (I know; I'm sure it's coming). She is still getting chubbier!! She looks like she will at birth but just on a smaller scale...I can't wait to see what she looks like!!

Cravings: Pepperoni pizza...don't worry...I got some!! Also, my mom introduced me to key lime Greek yogurt - YUM!!! I wouldn't say I craved it, but I definitely enjoyed one (or two or five) while they were here!
Aversions
: Nothing this week. (this is a good one to not have an answer for!)
Sleep: Back to sleeping well!! It could have been that I was more tired from family being here (movies, chatting, shopping, cooking, etc.) or just that I found the right pillow to put in between my legs while sleeping, but either way, I've slept soundly. I still get up occasionally to go to the bathroom, but I think that's more from drinking too much before bed as opposed to just being pregnant:).
Exercise: Made it to Zumba this week and had energy and was able to do just fine still! I am so grateful for this! It's kind of my personal test of how well I'm doing:). We had a substitute teacher, and I really enjoyed her class.
I also had the privilege of entertaining my mom and brother doing Rockin' Body DVD's while they watched and critiqued the people in the video...haha!
Looking forward to: Maternity pictures this weekend! A dear friend of ours from church is going to take them for us! Can't wait!
Something fun: My mom and brother came to visit this week! They arrived Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday night mom treated us to an anniversary dinner at a local diner we've been wanting to try for awhile now. It was yummy! Thursday I took off work, and we baked cinnamon rolls to freeze for after baby, made a grocery list (Mom came to fill up our freezer with meals for after baby!!), had an OB appointment, went to a few stores, and met up with one of my roommates from college (she and her whole family were in Ithaca that day!!) for ice cream.
It was a FUN day! That night, I also got my pepperoni pizza:). The rest of the story/pictures will come in this week's post.
FYI: I had a field trip at work last Friday, so I wasn't able to post when I normally do. We went to the Corning Museum of Glass. We got to do a little glass project, had a tour, and ate lunch there (that was my favorite part:)).
We got A LOT done last weekend!!! Tom got to go with me to a "mentoring" class that I'm taking so that was special. We got our little apartment put back almost to "normal"and made another pile of things for my mom and brother to take back with them to store until we move (thank you!). It feels good to put things away, organize, and clean out!!
Thank you, Lord, for: Time with family this week! This was my brother's first time to Ithaca, so it was special to introduce him to our home and our town. They were such a big help, and we can't wait to eat my mom's food...after baby, Olivia...after baby! We had a good time at home and out and about. Next time we see them, we'll have a little one...wow! That's a lot to think about!
